UX Writer/ Health Tech/ Redwood City

A Silicon Valley based at the forefront of Digital Healthcare Technology is looking for a UX Writer to join their growing product team, work with other designers, engineers, and product managers on the full life cycle of products that affect the lives of millions of people worldwide. You'd also have the opportunity to own end-to-end design for a new category of mobile and tablet products and services based on wearable/ingestible computing which collects behavioral, physiologic, and therapeutic metrics. These metrics are turned into personal management tools which can then be viewed on web and mobile devices, allowing people to manage and prioritize their health.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Set the approach and write clear, concise user flows (including UI instructional and educational text) and support content for both mobile (patient) and web (HCP) apps.
  • Present copy and supporting rationale to internal stakeholders, showing a keen understanding of when to push back and when to give in.
  • Adhere to Proteus’ established brand voice, while continuing to refine and iterate as needed to meet evolving business needs.
  • Partner with designers, researchers, product managers and developers to understand and define product requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Lead visual designer and UX designers to create a unified experience from a copy/design perspective; evolve flows, flag areas needing improvement and propose solutions.
  • Partner with HFE/user testing to develop product copy for testing, digest and log findings, and iterate copy based on learnings.
  • Administratively manage assigned UX projects, including scheduling meetings/briefings, routing copy to stakeholders, reaching out to cross-functional team members for knowledge input and securing approvals.
  • Maintain intimate familiarity with Copy Style Guide (CSG); edit and proofread work to ensure materials are consistent with brand voice, adherent to guidelines and free from errors.
  • Work with copy lead to identify and help define new terminology and feature nomenclature.
  • Ensure consistency within mobile app and HCP web portal by maintaining meticulous notes on style and language decisions; leverage these to continuously update app/portal section of CSG.
