Senior Java Developer
A full service consulting firm in downtown Toronto is seeking Senior Java Developers to expand their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in core Java frameworks including RESTful API’s, Springboot, and Hibernate, along with some front-end knowledge. Due to rapid growth they are looking to bring on more Java Developers to help with all of their clients.
The right Java engineer will have a couple of things to be the right fit. First, this engineer should have experience working full-stack, but have a focus on the backend side. Second, it is preferable to have experience working with Springboot and have built RESTful APIs from scratch. Lastly, an important asset for them is someone who has the hunger and passion to continuously learn new technologies in a collaborative team environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience working with Java/J2EE in a professional setting (preferably Java 8)
- Working experience with Springboot
- Working experience with Hibernate
- Experience working relational databases (Oracle, SQL, MySQL)
- Experience or exposure building RESTful APIs
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or similar field
Desired Skills & Experience
- Good communication
- Latest version of core Java experience
- Experience building RESTful APIs from scratch
- Experience using ElasticSearch or Solr
- Hunger and eagerness to learn new technologies
