A mobile consulting firm in Santa Monica is looking for an Android developer fluent in native development. The company has some well-known clients who rely on them to effectively communicate with their consumers and fans. The team is small but focused. The principal has worked at some of the biggest technology shops in LA and has been running his own firm since 2008. The company specializes in social networking, promotional, and location-based applications. This is an opportunity to work in a small startup that is growing and workng with some major established businesses.
Our client is offering a unique opportunity to work as a consultant on a project for a subsidiary of a major dating site in Santa Monica. You will be working in-house at the client site and will get a chance to interact with these developers in addition to the other consultants. However, roughly half the time you will be telecommuting from home. The application is a social networking tool where people will be able to create a profile, upload photos, songs, etc.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
-A technical, computer science background
-At least 2 years Android experience
-Interaction with Webservices/JSON for web and mobile development
-Experience with customized UI table views
-1-3 apps in the Android store
This is a full time, contract position for at least 4 months and has the potential to be a full time position. Compensation in a highly competitive hourly rate. The company has been expanding and they provide a relaxed and collaborative work environment in addition to flexible hours and telecommuting.
