We are looking for people with at least some experience with C# or Java and good understanding of one or more web development frameworks. This is in addition to ActionScript expertise, since the ideal candidate will be able to build out systems that share data between client and server, then render in Flash or Javascript/HTML in various browsers/etc.
The role will involve iterative development of a highly scalable custom online advertising server platform. The candidate must be familiar with web development using server side technologies and SQL databases.
Primary Responsibilities:
Front-End Development:
Automating sales and media buying processes
providing efficient scalable reporting required for business analysis
Creating new efficient ad formats/vehicles for monetizing sites and delivering traffic to advertisers
In addition to the primary role of working on the ad platform's front end, you will have the opportunity to work with our back-end server technology:
Rapidly testing/deploying new features
improving optimization to maximize revenue yield from advertiser/impression matchup.
Feature enhancements to meet ongoing business conditions/needs
Implementing better monitoring and testing capabilities to ensure high availability
Enhancing scalability through appropriate and efficient use of technologies
Managing actual deployed server farm
Deploying new servers
Requirements:
Possesses solid programming skills and problem solving abilities, and creative approaches to common and not-so-common tasks
Programming experience with ActionScript
SQL Database knowledge
JavaScript / HTML / Web development
Ability to translate quick/informal design into production code
Enjoys backend web development
Strong aptitude for learning and embracing change
Bonus Requirements:
MySQL specific knowledge
ASP.net / C# or JSP / Java Experience
Familiarity with the online advertising industry.
